About Our Jewelry

1. What is wire-wrapped jewelry?

Wire wrapping is a jewelry-making technique where metal wire is shaped and woven around a stone or other focal piece to create a secure setting without traditional soldering.

Each piece is handmade, so slight variations in shape, wrapping, and finish are part of what makes each piece unique.

Our jewelry may be made with:

• Copper wire

• Gold-plated copper wire

• Silver-plated copper wire

• Natural gemstones and crystals

• Other materials identified in the individual product description

Please refer to each product listing for the specific materials used in a particular piece.

2. Is your jewelry handmade?

Yes.

Our pieces are handmade individually rather than mass-produced. Because of this, no two pieces will look exactly alike.

Small variations in wire placement, stone shape, color, texture, and finish are normal and are part of the character of handmade jewelry.

3. Are the stones and crystals natural?

We use natural stones and crystals whenever identified as such in the product listing.

Natural stones often have variations in color, pattern, inclusions, texture, and shape. These differences are not defects. They are characteristics of the individual stone.

If a piece contains a treated, dyed, lab-created, or otherwise altered stone, we aim to identify this in the product description.

Reiki and Intention

4. What is Reiki, and how is it incorporated into your jewelry?

Reiki is a Japanese energy practice traditionally associated with relaxation, mindfulness, and personal well-being.

At OhThouReiki, Reiki is incorporated into the preparation of our jewelry as part of the intention behind each piece.

We do not present Reiki-infused jewelry as a medical treatment, diagnosis, or replacement for professional medical care.

Think of the Reiki aspect as part of the personal meaning and experience of the piece rather than a guarantee of a particular outcome.

5. Do I need to believe in Reiki for the jewelry to be meaningful?

No.

You do not need to follow a particular spiritual practice or belief system to enjoy our jewelry.

Some customers connect with the stones, some appreciate the craftsmanship, and others connect with the intention behind the piece. Your experience with your jewelry is personal to you.

6. How do I choose the right stone or piece?

Start with what draws your attention.

You might choose based on:

• The stone's appearance

• The meaning or traditional associations connected with the stone

• A personal intention

• A favorite color

• A meaningful birthstone

• The design itself

• Simply the piece you keep coming back to

7. Do you offer custom jewelry?

Yes.

Custom work is one of our favorite parts of what we do.

Depending on the project, you may be able to select:

• The stone

• Wire finish

• Pendant style

• Size

• Chain or cord

• Design elements

• Personal intention

Custom options depend on available materials and the design requested.

8. How long do custom orders take?

Custom pieces take longer than ready-to-ship pieces because each one is made specifically for you.

Completion time depends on the design, materials, current order volume, and whether a particular stone or material needs to be sourced.

We will provide an estimated timeline when your custom order is discussed.

If you have a specific date in mind, please tell us before placing your order. We will let you know whether the requested timeline is realistic.

9. Can I provide my own stone for a custom piece?

Possibly.

Some stones require special consideration because of their hardness, shape, fragility, existing damage, or other characteristics.

If you have a stone you would like incorporated into a piece, contact us first and provide photos and as much information about the stone as possible.

We will let you know whether the stone appears suitable for the requested design.

10. Will my finished custom piece look exactly like the design we discussed?

Not necessarily.

Wire-wrapped jewelry is handmade, and natural stones vary from piece to piece. A design serves as a guide rather than a guarantee of an identical finished product.

We will stay as close as reasonably possible to the agreed design while allowing room for the individual stone and the handmade process.

Sizing and Fit

11. How do I know what size jewelry to order?

Sizing depends on the type of jewelry.

For necklaces, chains, bracelets, and other sized pieces, please review the sizing information provided in the product listing.

For custom pieces, we may ask for specific measurements before beginning your order.

If you are unsure about sizing, please contact us before ordering. We would rather help you choose the right size than have you discover a fit issue after your order arrives.

12. Can copper jewelry change color over time?

Yes.

Copper naturally changes over time as it reacts with air, moisture, oils, and other substances.

Depending on exposure and personal chemistry, copper may develop a darker, warmer, or more aged appearance. Some people love this natural patina. Others prefer the brighter copper finish.

Gold-plated and silver-plated copper require additional care because the outer plating is thinner than the underlying metal.

Jewelry Care

13. How should I care for my jewelry?

A little care goes a long way.

We recommend:

• Remove jewelry before bathing, swimming, exercising, or sleeping.

• Avoid perfumes, lotions, hair products, cleaning products, and other chemicals.

• Keep jewelry away from prolonged moisture.

• Wipe pieces gently with a soft, dry cloth after wearing.

• Store each piece in a dry jewelry pouch or box when not in use.

• Avoid pulling, bending, or forcing the wire.

• Handle stones according to any care instructions provided with your piece.

Different stones have different care requirements. Please check the product listing or contact us if you have questions about a specific stone.

14. How do I clean copper jewelry?

For routine care, use a soft, dry polishing cloth.

Avoid aggressive polishing or abrasive cleaners, especially on plated jewelry. Excessive polishing may remove plating or alter the finish.

If your piece has a special finish or contains a delicate stone, contact us before using a cleaning solution.

15. How do I cleanse my crystal or Reiki jewelry?

If you have a personal cleansing practice, you are welcome to use the method that feels appropriate for your piece.

Not every stone responds well to water, sunlight, salt, or other common cleansing methods. Please check the care requirements for your specific stone before using one of these methods.

Ordering and Shipping

16. What happens after I place an order?

After your order is received, we review the order and prepare the piece for shipment.

Ready-to-ship items are packaged and shipped according to the processing time listed with the product.

Custom and made-to-order pieces require additional preparation time. Your expected timeline will be provided when your order is placed or confirmed.

17. What are your shipping options?

We ship through USPS.

Available shipping methods, costs, and estimated delivery times are shown at checkout based on your order and destination.

Processing time and shipping time are separate. The shipping estimate begins after your order has been processed and handed to the carrier.

18. What if my package is delayed, lost, or marked delivered?

Once a package is accepted by the carrier, delivery is handled by the shipping carrier.

If tracking shows a delay, please allow the carrier time to complete delivery.

If tracking shows your package as delivered but you cannot locate it, first check with household members, neighbors, and any designated delivery location. You may also contact your local USPS office.

If you still need assistance, contact us and we will help you determine the next appropriate step.

19. What if my order arrives damaged?

Please contact us as soon as possible after delivery.

Take clear photos of:

• The damaged item

• The packaging

• The shipping label

• Any visible damage to the package

Do not discard the packaging until we have reviewed the situation.

We will work with you to determine the appropriate resolution based on the circumstances.

Returns, Exchanges, and Order Changes

20. Do you accept returns or exchanges?

Because many of our pieces are handmade, made-to-order, or custom-created, certain purchases are final sale.

Please review our Return and Refund Policy before purchasing.

If your order arrives damaged, contains an error on our part, or does not match what you ordered, please contact us within the timeframe specified in our policy so we have an opportunity to make things right.

21. Can I cancel or change my order?

If you need to change or cancel an order, contact us as soon as possible.

For ready-to-ship items, we will review the status of your order and let you know what options are available.

Custom and made-to-order orders may begin production shortly after purchase. Once work or material sourcing has begun, changes or cancellations may no longer be possible.

22. What happens if I order a custom piece and change my mind?

Custom pieces are created specifically for you, so please make sure you are comfortable with the agreed design, materials, size, and price before production begins.

We will communicate with you about important design details before starting the work.

Once production has begun, custom orders are generally not eligible for cancellation or refund except where required by our stated policy or applicable law.

Payments and Pricing

23. What payment methods do you accept?

Available payment methods are shown during checkout.

If you are placing a custom order, payment and deposit requirements will be discussed before work begins.

24. Why might the price of a custom piece differ from another piece?

Custom pricing depends on the materials, stone, size, design complexity, labor, and other requirements of the individual project.

A custom piece is priced according to the work and materials involved rather than simply matching the price of a similar-looking item.

Gifts and Availability

25. Do you offer gift cards?

Gift cards are not currently available.

If you are shopping for someone else and are unsure which piece to choose, contact us and we will help you find an appropriate option.

26. Will a sold-out piece come back?

Possibly.

Natural stones and handmade materials are not always available in the same form again. Some pieces are one-of-a-kind, while others may be recreated with a similar stone or design.

If you see something you love that is sold out, contact us. We will let you know whether a similar piece or custom version is possible.

27. Do you offer wholesale or bulk orders?

Wholesale, event, and larger orders may be available depending on current capacity.

Please contact us with the type of pieces you are interested in, quantity, and desired timeline.
